Kimberly Huie is a Jamaican-born, Canadian-raised actor currently based between Toronto and New York City. After training at Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York, she landed a series regular role back in Toronto with the creators of the Degrassi franchise. She later relocated to Los Angeles, where she guest-starred on numerous hit series including CSI, NYPD Blue, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami, and Andromeda.
Her screen credits span from commercials and pilots to feature films, including the blockbuster Deep Impact and the indie favorite Passenger Side opposite Adam Scott. Most recently, Kimberly has had recurring roles as Grace Dixon on the OWN drama Kings of Napa, and as Fantine in Apple TV’s City on Fire.
Some of her favorite roles include portraying Mrs. Margaret Washington opposite Octavia Spencer in Netflix’s Self Made, and Adult Lauren in the slasher comedy Totally Killer with Kiernan Shipka and Julie Bowen.
A graduate of The Second City Toronto’s improv program and a multilingual lover of accents, Kimberly created and starred in the award-winning one-woman short film The Intervention. The film has screened at festivals across North America and the Caribbean.
She has spent several years training in Margie Haber’s Master Class, where she continues to fuel her creativity and sense of play. Kimberly encourages actors to let their curiosity and empathy guide their work—on and off the screen. Stay curious.
