This three-day intensive is designed for seasoned, professional actors ready to deepen their craft and challenge their creative instincts at the highest level. In a intimate and immersive environment, Margie works hands-on with a small group to guide actors through the creative process using her 10-step approach to creating and living a life.
Over the course of the weekend, you’ll go beyond “performance” to fully embody complex characters, building “slices of life” that exist beyond the script, so you can bring emotional depth and connected behavior to your work. You’ll push past the limitations of your comfort zone and drop the need to impress, instead stepping into your personal power and artistic integrity.
Margie will help you develop fluency in her Haber Phrasing™, giving you the tools to quickly break down a script and deliver truthful, connected work with little prep time. Whether you’re cold reading, self-taping, or working on set, this work equips you to lead with empathy, curiosity, vulnerability, and spontaneity.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Margie Haber
Margie Haber is known as Hollywood’s top audition coach. An actor, coach, and author, Margie transferred to Hollywood from New York in the 1980s. While teaching at the Lee Strasberg Institute, she decided to combine her background as a speech therapist with her acting experience to help actors audition more effectively. That’s how the Haber Phrasing™ was born.
Since opening her Los Angeles acting studio back in 1986, Margie and her team have successfully worked with many well-known, established actors, including Brad Pitt, Kyle Chandler, Téa Leoni, Vince Vaughn, Mariska Hargitay, Tiffany Haddish, and Halle Berry.
Margie’s philosophy is encapsulated by one specific goal: be a complicated human being. It’s the key to the “creation of life,” which allows you to audition and “act” organically – not technically.

Over three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) of six-hour classes, you’ll dive into Margie’s philosophy of “living the life” in auditions and on set. Open to actors ages 18+, and limited to 8 actors per session. This weekend includes on-camera work, as well as deep character creation and personal exploration exercises.
New students start their creative journey in an intensive. Continuing students are welcome to join an ongoing class after completing their intensive to keep building on what they’ve learned, week-to-week.
