ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR
Tess
Skorczewski
Tess Skorczewski is a Professional Acting Coach, Producer, and Actor.
Tess has performed on stage, both in New York and in Los Angeles, in films
and on TV. She studied acting at the Howard Fine Studios under the auspices
of Bob Krakower. Tess continued her studies with Beverly Sanders of The
Mary Tyler Moore Show & Rhoda. She has since trained hundreds
of young actors at the Margie Haber Studios where she heads the Reel Kids
department. She worked as the on-set coach to the three young heroes of
Monster House, a Sony Pictures Feature Film.
WELCOME
I am delighted to welcome you to the Reel Teens/Kids Program at the Margie Haber Studios.
One of the greatest challenges an actor can face is overcoming the bad habits that they can develop, as a result of audition anxiety and poor training. What I find so exciting about this program, is that through the excellent guidance of Tess Skorczewski, our young students are guided into character by building a realistic life and environment. They teach the actors to Stop Acting, Use Their Imaginations and Live the Life of the Character.
Tess has studied with me personally, and excels at teaching my 10 step method, essential to the growth of the actor and the person. All classes are on camera so the student’s benefit from seeing themselves in addition to one other. As we prepare our actors for a career in television and film, we believe that camera work is essential to the process.
I wish each and everyone of our young actors success in their careers – and their lives. Welcome to the Studio!

REEL KIDS AND TEENS WEEKEND
ON-CAMERA INTENSIVE
COLD READING & AUDITION TECHNIQUE
Let your young actor join us for an on-camera, intensive weekend of audition training, designed to jump start their career.
Hollywood insiders know that The Margie Haber Studio is the destination point for audition training; what many don’t know is that we offer young actors the same opportunity to receive the finest instruction, teaching actors to Stop Acting, Live the Life of the Character and Get the Part ~
The Reel Kids and Teens Intensive Weekends are led by Haber Studio coach Tess Skorczewski. Tess’ clients are appearing as Guest Stars, Recurrings and Series Regulars on shows such as Heroes, Without a Trace, Cold Case Files, E.R., starring roles in major feature films such as The Last Mimzy and national commercials.
Each actor will receive feedback from the instructor and will benefit from watching the work and feedback of - and receiving feedback from - their peers. All work in performed on camera. Classes are limited to a total of ten students per class.
